The map ac_arid is an official map created by BenWasHere. BenWasHere had worked closely with RandumKiwi in the map's development, and it was made an official map on its release.
Theme and Terrain
Set in a desert environment, but with a small underground grotto section, ac_arid is probably the least flat official map; almost every area is on a different level. Its small rooms and passages create an intense environment, especially with more than eight players.
Controversy
There have been many complaints that the map favours CLA too greatly.
