Dopo la chiusura della terza [[AC ladder|ladder]] ci furono molte richieste dai membri della comunità per una sostituzione. La Hi-SKILL ladder fu annunciata nel forum di AC il 4 settembre 2009 da ''[[User:Drakas|Drakas]]''.

La HI-SKILL ladder è costantemente aggiornata e migliorata da ''[[User:Drakas|Drakas]]''. Al momento è possibile visualizzare la classifica giornaliera, settimanale, mensile e totale dei giocatori, e separare le pagine per ognuna di queste. Cliccando sul nome di un giocatore verranno mostrate le informazioni riguardo alle sue partite, inoltre con la firma è possibile vedere ancora più informazioni riguardo a un giocatore.

Ci sono spesso delle discussioni tra i membri della comunità riguardo al 'nade spamming' (ovvero il lancio continuo di granate allo scopo di ottenere gib gratuiti) e altri problemi, ma nel complesso in gran parte ne sono grati.

==Scoring==
On the [http://hi-skill.us.to/servers/ designated servers] all relevant game values (number of captured flags, frags, gibs, deaths, team kills, time played, etc.) of the participating players are collected and put into data packages which are sent at one hour intervals to the ladder service. Not all scores count; games must meet these criteria:

* be played on an official or a chosen non-official map
* have at least 8 players (this rule need not apply for the whole game, but an action will only score if there are at least 8 players in the game at that time)

How scores are calculated is not being revealed.

==Servers==
Only well maintained and reliable servers are allowed to report to the ladder. These servers can change as often or as little as they want.

==Rules==
Team fixing on the HI-SKILL ladder is not allowed. Team fixing can be defined as putting all the good players on one team and all worst players on the second team.
No intentional team fire/damage, especially with flag carriers.
Repeated verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
and obviously, no cheating is allowed on the ladder

Not following any of these may result in removal of your individual scores, or your team's scores if more than one individual is involved in that. Extreme cases reported to the blacklist.

==Uploader==
One of the newest features, somewhat unrelated to the ladder as such, is an [http://hi-skill.us.to/up/ uploader]. This area allows players on the ladder to upload AssaultCube related content - text, demos, images, etc.

==Extra features==
The ladder also provides user signatures which allow ranked members of the ladder to create image links to use in their forums to display their levels. Voice communication servers also have been adopted to improve the quality of the gaming.Points transfers are also available to those who have played a while and changed their nickname and/or joined or left or moved clan. The updates page includes an area to post your own comments and feedback.
